Voted Best Hot Dog in Grand Rapids every year since 1991. Step inside and you’ll see we haven’t changed much. The hand-crank register still rings, the jukebox still glows, and tips still get tossed into an old gramophone horn. The walls? Covered in photos of fans and famous faces who’ve stopped by for a hot dog. It’s counter service, cash only, and packed with character. Come grab a dog (or two, or three) and see for yourself.
No frills. No forks. No reason to change a thing.
We’ve been serving up hot dogs the same way since ’76 – on steamed buns, with fresh toppings, and a chili recipe we’ll take to the grave.
In 1976 Bill Lewis decided he could build a better hotdog. And build a better hotdog he did!

- There is no line. We start from one side of the room and work our way down. No one is first!
- Order hotdog(s) first.
- Eating is here or to-go.
- Order drink(s).
- Order sides: chips, pickles, cookies, soup (in the winter).
- Pay for your order, receive your food and seat yourself. ENJOY!
